Dr. Karen Campbell has a Ph.D. in Nursing from McMaster University (2020) and is currently a postdoctoral fellow at Western University, Arthur Labatt Family School of Nursing. Her program of research focuses on public health nursing issues at local and national levels, specifically health equity and social justice interventions for priority populations with attention to issues of gender, disability, and geography within the area of community nursing.

All Dr. Campbell’s clinical practice and research to date has been dedicated to improving health of populations and addressing health disparities for marginalized populations. Violence against women is a global health issue and a current public health crisis. Dr. Campbell’s postdoctoral work explores how online and community-based interventions for women experiencing intimate partner violence are influenced by social and physical location. This postdoctoral fellowship is funded by the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, Ontario Women’s Health Scholarship.

Dr. Campbell is a subject matter expert in the area of qualitative research and is open to opportunities to consult or collaborate with researchers needing qualitative research assistance.
